How can I tell bottled water is better than running one?

have them both tested.
if you are going to buy bottled water of quality, do not buy spring water. You want water that is purified using charcoal filter and REVERSE OSMOSIS. RO is the key to purity when buying bottled water.

You can usually taste the difference. But check what water source bottled water is from. If it says municipal water than you are just paying for tap water in a bottle. I prefer Ozarka myself.

Contrary to advertising claims , tap water must meet more srtringent purity standards than bottled water..

The only difference is price. some people also like different kinds of water because they taste different
