Gurl, you aren't the only one. I have thick, curly/ wavy hair down to my butt. I have long layers but it don't show because my hair is so curly. The cheapest way to straighten your hair is through a straighten iron which is about $10 or the best is revlon which is more expensive about $20 or so. I wear my hair up a lot to. I usually do a messy bun- which is actually a style. God blessed us with curly hair because so many people with straight hair is dying for curly hair. So be thankful.

You can have your hair chemically straightened but be prepared to maintain it every 4 to 8 weeks as your hair grows. It will cost approximately what any professional hair service will cost (ie color, permanent wave). You can call any salon and they will give you a price over the phone. It's usually an estimate. The longer your hair and the thicker your hair the more product they will have to use and the more it will cost. Good luck.

You should go to a good beauty shop. If it is very long they may cut it a little or they may thin it some. I am in the same boat. My hair is curly and thick. It usually ends up in a pony tail.

our hair sound the same. i have the same problem. i hate my curls and wish every day it was straight, but one thing i have learned is not go get it straightend. it lookd great at first but than it goes poofy and you cant curl it nor straighten it. it damages your hair too. love your curls. you have to learn to. what i so that looks so cute is i wash my hair, and when it is still wet, i put a **** load of hairspray in it. than i take it and part in in pieces on the top and twist it and bobby pin it in. than one section at a time pull all your hair up and secure it with bobby pins. to do this you will use a ton of them so make sure your prepaired. when your done, it will look professional, like your going to prom or a wedding. it taked about 15 min. oh and make sure you use lots of hairspray! good luck and if you have any more questions email me. cyberiiansgirl@yahoo.com

OH MY GOD...................PLEASE DON'T GO AND DO SOMETHING LIKE STRAIGHTING IT....ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS TO FINE A GOOD STYLISH AND HAVE HER THIN IT, LAYER IT AND CHIP INTO YOUR HAIR,,,,,THE CURLS WILL SMOOTH OUT ALOT AND YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO ALOT OF DIFFERENT STYLES WITH IT...BUT MAKE SURE THE STYLISH KNOWS WHAT YOU MEAN WHEN YOU TELL HIM/HER WHAT YOU WANT................
