Christianity is the largest religious sect with 2 billion practitioners, that is also the most practiced in the U.S., Islam is second with about 1 billion, and non-practitioners and atheists make up one of the larger chunks of the world population. Besides that Hinduism, Chinese religions (such as Taoism and Confucianism), and Buddhism are the most popular. I'm a Christian so the doctrines that it teaches are more often than not what I accept.
