INTIMIDATE the ranchers, and discourage the Minutemen from erecting a border fence in Palominos??? "The county planning dept. is advising area ranchers, that any such project MUST comply with county zoning rules." " WE need to make a determination about whether this fence actually meets OUR exemptions for fences in rural areas"

The Minutemen are planning on building an Israeli-style border barrier!!! "The national executive director of the Minutemen, Al Garza (Note the HISPANIC name) said the county's efforts are little more than SCARE tactics". "He said the barrier-building program would move forward as planned."

GO MINUTEMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think it is hilarious. I want to challenge them to show us all the zoning inspections they have performed on rancher fences NOT put in place by the Minutemen.

Ranchers string barbed wire around posts as fast as it can be cut down. No one goes for a zoning inspection!

Chiccawha... - My house used to belong to a family named 'Wu' and before that it belonged to a different family, and before that it belonged to a different family..... And you know what? If ANY of them break in here, I am calling the police.

I think it's unfortunate that we've waited so long to react to the fact that small portions of our state and local governments have more or less been heavily influenced, and in some cases almost taken over by pro-mexican interests. It's time to get our border fence in place, and start dealing with mexico and the rest of central america in a more productive fashion...Part of the reason the country's being bled white is entitlements, and EVERYBODY wants to ride that entitlement gravy train, including half the third world...maybe the right answer is to go ahead and park that 'gravy train' on an unused siding for a while, let all the passengers disembark, close the gate after they leave, and then let's have a full audit of the whole stinking mess. States can go through their county governments, and so forth, get this country back on a cash basis, and strongly urge Mexico to success on its' path to reform, voluntary reforms or otherwise...I think america's played host and global welfare office long enough, let's see some legislation to back our border barriers, some no-nonsense, same-day-service kind of stuff...if Fed-Ex can deliver a package anywhere in the world in 24 hours, we can send people back to Mexico in the blink of an eye....a little efficiency never hurts...

I hear they are ahead of schedule-on their fencing. And it is going up as planned. And they are following laws. And the Indian reservations are helping. It looks good-even though some are trying to stop it.

Hay chickawappa-cry baby. -You can't sell your toys and expect to get them back.
And it is working-crime has dropped in those places where the fences is.

And someone else needs to read better -no laws were ask to be broken-put your finger back to your cheek and be dumb -it suits you

Did you also read that the fences have already been tampered with? It's going to take more then a fence to secure the border. We need something that when hit will destory what hit it and not what it hit.

you are aware that texas used to belong to mexicans right? and before that spain. and before that native-americans (today's mexicans partly). that's why it has a HISPANIC name.

as for fences, they never last or truly work in a productive way.

We won't need much of a fence if our policies don't encourage illegal immigration.
