Since Bridal Showers are usually held on a Sunday, how about a Brunch Menu:
Belgian waffles, Made-to-order Omelets, Baked Ham, Bacon, Sausage and Corned Beef Hash, Home Fried Potatoes, French Toast, Freshly Baked Muffins, Bagels & Cream Cheese, Danish Pastries and Fresh Fruit.

Serve high tea with a variety of small tea sandwiches (cucumber, ham, roast beef) and a variety of pastries, tea cakes
petit fours, and fruit tarts. For those who would rather not have tea, serve punch. Don't forget the chocolate mints too.
Be sure you also decorate with fresh flowers, and your color scheme should be in pastels.

I would suggest buying croissants and making batches of sandwiches that could range from classic (ham and cheese, chicken salad, tuna salad) to alternative...
-salami, fresh tomato, mozarella, and basil
-chicken breast with alfalfa sprouts, avacado, and mayo with a bit of red pepper mixed into it for bite
-salmon with bacon, lettuce, and tomato (a Southern favorite)
Suppliment the sandwiches with salads, soups, fresh fruit, and potato chips if you'd like.
For beverages make different iced teas and lemonades. Sweeten them with honey, put fresh fruit or berries in the pitchers, and garnish with fresh mint leaves.

it depends on if the bridal shower is just like a plain gathering or if its formal, a plain gathering is finger foods (hotdogs and nachoes and chicken wings and possibly meatballs) but formal is backed chicken green beans and tea
