you feel like crap for eating because your trying to lose weight,
but the you do the worst, you eat ice cream , yogurt and dinner then go to sleep. you wake up the next mornig to do your weekly wieght-in only to find that you have lost a pound!

that happens to me alot, it something strange that my body does this, I eat fatty food on the weekends, sleep and then on monday ( when I weight myself) I lose a pound. I did that today and lost some weight.

If I could only tell you where Im coming from with this weight thing.

Do you think its a good idea to eat healthy during the week, splurge on the weekend in hopes of losing weight? I've never done that before on a plan, but it seems like it would work.

this week I had:
3 candy bars
1/2 pack of starburst
full calorie mountain dew
2 3/4 bag of singel serve chips
1 mcflurry
1 yougurt parfait.

and that was it....

When you diet for an extended period of time your body becomes used to the number and type of calories you are consuming. Your metabolizm will slow down. If you suddenly eat something high fat and high in calories it will, for lack of a better word, wake up your metabolism. Your metabolism will speed up for a day or two and you will lose more weight.

A once a week cheat day is actually quite benefital to the process of weightloss.

It does work. The reason why is this. Your body, when on a diet, thinks it is starving, so a lot of time it holds on to the weight. Then when you splurge it figures it is ok to let go of some. Also, if you eat a lot of the same low cal food, your body gets used to it, so if you splurge, it changes things up and you lose.
