I would not like to use cotton, are there alternatives?

You can stuff a pillow with just about anything, which is the great thing about pillows. There is polyfil that you can by at a craft store, walmart, fabric store, etc... Rice (uncooked), corn (also uncooked and dried) the rice and corn are also therapeutic when you warm them in a microwave. other fabric, dried beans, you get the drift? All of these will give you different textures which is one thing that I like.

Feathers, or old t-shirts stuffed in the pillow. You could also use socks or any other clothing that is soft and not any good any more. Good luck and have fun making your pillow!

Plastic bubble wrap is good it'll make a sort of air pillow
