I live in Tyler, Texas ... population around 100,000, and there is an area of our city that's predominantly black and Hispanic. There are also, however many people of different races living in the "high-rent" districts. It's not the geographical division that bothers my husband and I as much as the racism and anger that seems to predominate the South.

I'm truly sorry for the human race that we can't get past this stupidity. Though my husband and I are both white, we simply don't see the point in the constant stereotyping of people based on skin tone and culture. The soul of a person rests on the inside, and all humans want love, compassion, and understanding.

You're totally wrong mate. I'm a white guy living in Riverwest (the ghetto) and I'll tell you that there is plenty of diversity everywhere in town. I think as a general rule people are gravitated toward people they know, but the neighborhoods in Milwaukee are certainly not segregated or homogenous in any way.

Unfortunately, in some places it is common.. I would guess it would be something that has been like that for sometime now and some may not lite the idea of spreading out and be scattered
I wouldn't worry about what everyone else thinks, what's important is that you and your wife are happy, that's all that really matters..

i live in green bay, wisconsin, and when i pass through the milwaukee area, it seems like there are plenty of african americans there...probably because the other race wants to stay clear of the dangerous race and neighborhood areas.
