From personal experience, I'd suggest one of two things...call a trusted friend (who knows you're tripping) and just talk to them, the other is to find a simple picture, nail it to your ceiling and just lay in bed and stare at it...a giant smiley face seemed to work for me, if it's too much info on the picture it can cause you even more stress, but something simple you can just get lost in until you fall asleep. I also have to agree...the 85-90% get brain damage is bs...i've tripped a few hundred times and still function just fine.

Usually during a bad trip, you just feel scared & super parinoid, pretty much like your losing your mind when really your not. I just had a horrible trip a couple hours ago & if I was to describe it, pretty much I went to the movies with my brother & some friends & I dropped two tabs of some awesome acid. As I was waiting for the movie to start, I started to think of negative things such as "what if I have a bad trip? What if I go insane in front of everyone?" when really that physically can't happen but mentally it can. My heart started to race when I thought that & it was very crowded and loud when the effects started to hit me. When the effects hit me that's when I started to freak out. I decided to go to the bathroom to calm down but there was too many people so that was making my trip even worse! I took a walk outside the movies & was still freaking the **** out! The noises where louder and my anxiety was super high. I eventually calmed down and went back into the movies.

When a person uses LSD you have a 85-90% chance of becoming permanently mentally ill with various paranoid attachments to your illness. Basically your brain becomes oatmeal with no chance of recovery!!!! Stop Taking LSD and save your own life. Haldol will quiet the voices in your head but has major sideeffects!!! Look into the PDR (physician desk refrence) or in a Nurses Drug handbook and it will tell you what it is for, side effects and contrainidications to taking medications.

That last one about the 85-90% risk of brain damage is 100% BS.
Show me a study that backs that up and maybe I'll believe you.
A good way to stop a bad experience is to calm down, change your set and setting into something more pleasant and relaxing.

I 'd steer clear of ANY psychotropic medications while under the influence of LSD. If you're having a bad trip, find a quiet place to relax until it wears off, and then quit screwing with your mind.

No. Also haloperidol (Haldol) has many side-effects that may be as bad as the acid trip. The drug/medication of choice should likely be thorazine.

Yes you can take that type of anti-psychotic medication for a bad trip. It will make you very groggy and will stop the production and reuptake of dopamine in your brain as well. So I say, go for it. I've never had a bad trip though, so???
