My friend sent me an MPEG-4 that was created on a MAC. I downloaded QuicktimePlayer but only hear the sound!?

It sounds like you don't have the right codecs to play the movie. Try downloading the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack. The download link is http://www.codecguide.com/about_mega.htm.

An alternative is to switch media players. VLC ( VideoLAN Client) is a media player that can play multiple video and audio format, including MPEG-2, MPEG-4 and DivX. The download link is http://www.videolan.org/vlc/.

Oh, I had this same problem with my Mac.

http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ and download VLC

This will allow you to view MPEG-4 files and AVI files as well.
