Yes suicide is clearly prohibited. Reason because life is God gift who has the authority to take it back when our time come.

Many people want a specific answer, but how can we know what was going on with a person who deliberately killed himself? At times a mental disorder can cause someone to radically change his thought patterns, and therefore possibly his capability for rational thought. Most people believe suicide is not a rational decision, so where does that leave us when someone we know has killed himself?
I know this isn't an answer, it's only an opinion. Hopefully it can give comfort. God knows what was the mental state of a suicide victim. If the person had lost the ability for rational thought, then I believe God will be merciful. I'll leave it up to Him.

what do you mean by deadly sin? is suicide a sin? yes. will you be dead after doing it? yes. will it ruin your salvation? doesn't say that in the bible. but if christ is truely your Lord, you will find that there is everything to live for.

It's in the 10 commandments - Thou shalt not kill. It applies whether or not it's yourself or another person.
I'm hoping this is a question that you're just asking about, not that you're considering suicide.
If you are considering suicide, get help - people love you and care about you and do not want you to die.
