I would grill it much like salmon. I grill mine by brushing it with butter, then sprinkling a light mix of onion powder, white pepper and a tad of garlic. Then top the fish with a slice of lemon and a slice of lime. Roll it up in foil and grill on each side for 10-15 minutes or until it flakes. Be careful not to over cook it though. Start with ten minutes on each side. Good Luck

BASA, is a member of the catfish family, farm-raised in fresh water. The flavor of the basa is milder and more delicate than other catfish; when cooked it does not give off a "fishy" smell. Serve this recipe and you will be hooked!
1/2 cup almonds, ground and toasted
3 tablespoons cornmeal
2 tablespoons parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons chopped parsley
1 tablespoon flour
1/2 teaspoon lemon pepper
2 lbs basa fillets
2 tablespoons lemon juice
parsley
lemon juice
Combine the first six ingredients in mixing bowl.
Dip fillets first in lemon juice, then in almond mixture to coat thoroughly.
Place on baking sheet; bake at 400 degrees, 15-20 minutes,or until fish is cooked through.
Garnish with parsley, Serve with lemon wedges and your favorite tarter sauce.

Brush the basa fillets with about 1 tablespoon olive oil, and roll in the crushed Melba toast to coat. Season with salt and pepper. Use a kitchen sprayer to lightly spray the coated fish with remaining olive oil. Arrange the fish in a baking dish and top with garlic and lemon slices.
Bake 15 minutes in the preheated oven, or until fish is easily flaked with a fork and coating is lightly browned. Serve with the mayonnaise sauce mixture.

Basa Fish
1/4 cup olive oil (for 2 filets)
1 clove garlic, minced
juice of fresh lime
Heat olive oil slightly in small pan, saute the garlic in it just till tender, mix with the lime juice and marinate the fish for 1 hour
in non-reactive dish. Grill it and used it for fish tacos. It was wonderfully flavored and so fresh tasting.
