Well we need to be more environment conscious that's for sure but in the long run we just have to let earth do its thing.

Global warming started back around the mid-nineteenth century when the industrial revolution was taking place. The global temperature continued to rise slowly until around the mid-twentieth century when it raised rapidly, because more industrial production started to take place.
There have been many suggestions about how to reduce the amount of greenhouse gasses in the atmosphere. Most of the ideas can be summarized into three main methods:
Carbon Sequestering - This is storing carbon dioxide and releasing it after a long period of time.
Reducing Carbon Emissions - such as the Kyoto Protocol.
Planting trees - which suck up some of the greenhouse gasses. Scientists are planning to make genetically modified trees which take in more carbon.

"Global warming started back around the mid-nineteenth century when the industrial revolution was taking place."
Natural climate changes have been around for millions of years - the earth was at times both much colder and much warmer than it is now.
Temperature reconstructions (eg NAS report) show that even prior to 1800, temperature likely varied by 0.5C over the preivous 800 years, and now current temperatures are no more than 0.6C warmer than prior averages.
How, then, is this a 'problem'?
"The global temperature continued to rise slowly until around the mid-twentieth century when it raised rapidly, because more industrial production started to take place."
The cause of temperature changes has natural forcing (sun etc.) not just man's input. Still, the main impact is at night, in the winter at high altitudes.... Is it really a problem if Canada and Russia are slightly warmer?

Nature usually has the answer. We must Farm large quantities of trees to capture solar energy and remove large quantities of CO2 from the air. Then run these trees and coal into a heated oxygen free chamber to separate volatile vapors from the fixed carbon charcoal.Burn the volatile vapors in a sophisticated combustion process to to recover the solar energy to make the system economical. Then inject the hot fixed carbon char with process steam to create valuable chemicals ie methanol and activated carbon.Blend methanol with gasoline to create a cleaner burning fuel with less carbon.Store large quantities of carbon until natural forest are restored.

I know you're gonna think I'm crazy, but . . . . . . . there is no such thing as global warming!!! I am a meteorologist, and I know about the weather. Did you know that the north and south poles used to have tropical weather? Earth's weather comes in stages, and supposed "global warming" is just another phase.

it began when we put too many friggin people on this planet. then came the oil burners and wildfires that burn up the forests which reduces the number of trees we have to turn the carbon dioxide back to oxygen. then we polute every waterway because we don't care. it will be better in 200 years or so when we reduce the human population to 2 or 3 billion worldwide and stop chopping down the rainforests.

I have found the cause of global warming...
The Sun.
If you want to stop global warming, put out The Sun. Try explaining that one to AlGore.

It didnt. Volcanos cause 'global warming' anything that releases CO2 causes global warming. Your breath causes global warming.

Thinning of the ozone layer by mainly CFC sprays resulting in a reduced atmospheric shield from infra red rays from the sun. Stop by using CFC sprays even in refrigerators
