There is nothing wrong with the battery. But sometimes it will start and sometimes nothing. Is there a common ground that go's bad on them? Thanks Norm

a short would cause a fuse to blow out. Its possible the batery conections are dirty, and if you have a battery terminal that crimps the cable with two small bolts, you could have a bad conection there to. check both sides, grd &pos

I got this one nailed, I'm a Ford Mechanic and seen this 100's of times. The little wire to the starter that's called a trigger wire is corroded. You can cut it off and replace it or pull it off and put a little grease like Vaseline on it. Ford offers a little wire to cut and reinstall it. But if it was mine id just grease the terminal.

before i take JOSH S suggestion i would check with a garage i have been a Lincoln man for thirty years and have never heard of a trigger wire but he could be right but i would check on that one first.
