Does anyone know what file Outlook express contacts are stored in?

I have a friend who uses OE with identities (1 for her and 1 for hubby) every now and then they sign in and all email and contacts will be gone or have only a few. Then they will sign on another time and they will be back. I'm assuming it's got something to do with identities, but I've never been there when it happens, she'll give me a call. I know where all the mail files are but haven't found the file that holds contacts.

Contacts are stored in a single file that has the extension .WAB
