no. He is a fictional charactor and cannot cleanse us of our sins, as Jesus Christ can.

No.
The only possible savior for the world is Jesus.
And Bhuddah, Vishnu, Sati, Zeus, Shakti, Shiva, Kali, Ghandi, any Bohdisattva, Ganesh, Allah, Moses, Mother Earth, George Carlin and any of a VERY long list of others.
Religious people tend to think very locally and often fail to consider the point of view of those who do not think as they do. Superman is a fictional character. To many non-Christians, Jesus is a fictional character. Or how about people of the Jewish faith? They pray to the exact same God as Christians but think of Jesus as a prophet, often less. He is no more the Savior of the World than Barney.
It is interesting to see which questions call for the religious zealots to pounce. Keep in mind that I do believe in God and in Jesus. Yet as an intellectual, I can accept that many (most) do not believe as I do. I choose to (contrary to many on this site) not shove my beliefs down the throats of others. They will find God as they choose it, if they choose to. If He is real and all-powerful and truly desires our goodwill and salvation (as I believe) he will come to us in His own way, in His divine plan. It is not up to us to force feed our opinions to the masses, certainly not in response to a question about Superman.

Well, there is just as much evidence, if not more, suggesting that Superman is real than there is suggesting that jesus is real.
Both alleged saviors have absolutely no evidence pointing to an actual existence.

Yes. He makes people think twice about commit acts that Christians would consider sins. He can hear everyone everywhere and can probably hear changes in heart rate so could tell when you are lying. I guess Superman would be the ultimate form of policing. Deterrence is better than punishment.

If he were real he could save physical aspects of the planet and lives of its people. But no--he could not save their spiritual beings---being able to fly is cool, but won't save your soul
Besides-- research vampire mythos they have many of the same powers without the dorky tights.

definitely not, superman combats criminals to our own laws. Gods laws are different. When Christ was crucified he was placed by two thieves that i think were forgiven and sent to heaven.
