I am going to a Bris for the first time. I'm not sure what to wear or what to give. I am thinking of giving cash but how much? And do I place it in with a card or just in an envelope?

Serious answers only please.

well hunn for clothing i would wear something dressy but not extrem nice dress that is small florla or something in pastel.
and money i would give 20 it is shieck but doesnt break the pocket book your freinds know how hard it is to dish out cash and yes a card would be nice to give it is on a more personal level and they will have it as a keepsake unlike the money that will be spent and no longer seen the card will be also maybe just make em a nice card holder box can be an old shoe box just glue some fabric on it and there ya go it would be where they keep their cards that they get i hope the suggestion helps ..

Cash is OK. Never give more than you can afford. And of course give a card with it. The parents would like to know who the gift came from so they can send thank yous

Better to give $50 savings bond in the child's name - that only costs you about $25. You can get it at any bank
