Ok i'm so sick of my brother changing the password of the pc like it is his pc they toled me there is somthing that can generate basic passwords & crack them so if anyone have it or know where to find such things please help me

HELL YES YOU CAN, there are many ways to hack the windows password but it's slightly difficult.

we can approach this from three angles
1. the user doesn't use encryption on any of his folders.
2. your user uses encryption on some of his folders.
3. your brother allows you administrative rights on the pc

If you have XP Home edition, you are in luck as it doesn't support folder encryption.

1. this one is easy but the person setting the password will know something is up.
Download this

burn the iso to CD. Set the computer to boot from the cd-rom. and jsut follow the instructions.

If you use this disk to reset the password and your brother has encrypted folders then his encrypted folders will no longer be accessable without special expensive software, even if he puts the same password back.

2. To difficult to explain (i am too lazy, actually), matchs exactly what you want, and software is not freely available goto
http://www.thebroken.org/ and download video release 3 (only an option if your brother allows you to download and you have high speed internet, also use a download manager and you need divx). They give some hints on how to actually crack the password but hte software is difficult to work with and you must have access to Lophtcrack, a flash drive, Inside sam pro and a Linux/windows live disk. It will take a while to crack the password unless LMhashes are enabled and you are on an network so it requires patience (watch the video).

3. If your brother lets you use the computer with his profile which has administrative rights. then the answer is simple just to reset it Goto RUN and type

control userpasswords2
Click on his profile and click the RESET PASSWORD button or just add a new profile (click ADD button) that you can also password protect and give your self admin rights. He will notice however

EDIT: iahve usede method 1-3 on different systems for educational purposes and it worked each time if i had the correct privilegaes or enough acces time.

there is software to crack passwords. There is also spy software that logs everything typed on the computer. You may check the back of your PC to see if there is a little black connector that is in between your PC & Keyboard wires.

Also, you may try using a password that is more difficult to break. Even password breaking software *shouldn't* be able to break a complex password. Use atleast two of the following: Uppercase letters, Lowercase Letters, Symbols & Numbers.

Example:

password becomes P@55w0rD!

He might be smart enough to break into your registry files and from what I've heard that's how Vendors retrieve lost windows passwords.

There is no crack. The only way to reset the password is to put in your Windows CD and then you just go through the installation process.

The easiest way would be to ask your brother for the password and then make an administrator password so that he cant change the password again. Just dont tell him when you change it and make him use his own user account.

Why don't you just have your own profiles? you can have multiple users on XP with separate passwords so you don't need to argue about it because your files and access will be different.
