Well it depends on the circumstance and what that person needs to hear at that moment. Whether it be to correct someone in love with the law who is secure in his or her sins or rather to offer the sweet words of the Gospel to someone that has been broken by the fact that they have failed in keeping the law. But I assume that you are asking about comforting people who have been afflicted. Paul's Letters to the churches often offer a lot of encouragement for them. Here are a few:
Romans 5:1-12
Romans 8 (Pretty much the whole chapter)
Ephesians 2:8-10
The only thing that I would suggest though is that you read the context in which the verse has been written before you apply it to someone. It is very important that we as Christians understand why and to whom the Scriptures were originally written to in order for us to properly apply God's Word to our culture and the people of today. God Bless and I hope that this was a good start as you seek to offer God's unfailing truth to those around you. As Paul said in his letter to the Galatians, "For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified." I pray that this truth may that be at the heart of your speaking and mine as well.

No need to go for a Bible verse for it. Help others who are in need, it is pleasing your God.

Acts 20:35
I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'
