We just got done with our curtains project and have 60-70 curtain rings, that we can't return. These are beautiful sandalwood color rings with white washed for an antique finish. I was thinking of using them for a creative project, but I am not the creative type. So, need some suggestions. If it comes out nice, it may even adorn this empty 80-inch wide wall (in the same room which has a modern decor). Thanks for your suggestions. Any picture or DIY links would also help.

You can make napkin rings for different occasions, picture frames for your favorite photos, stack a few of them together-fill them half way with play dough or some form of clay and stick a tapered candle in the center for a custom candle holder to match your napkin rings! Have fun, you'll be surprised what else you think of.

If you are planning to start on your woodworking project, this isn't something you should use, it's something that you would be insane not to. Go here https://tr.im/A5Gtg
Truth is, I've been a carpenter for almost 36 years, and I haven't found anything like this for less than 10's of thousands of dollars.

why don't you try using the left over curtain rings for a decorative lamp. That would be an interesting conversation piece, and it would be very pretty.

Save them - if they're difficult to find in the stores, you'll wind up hating yourself if some of the ones in use get broken or misplaced.
