As hard as it is... your mom probably has the right idea. Any animal that is living with pain should be put to sleep in the BEST interests of the pet. It is so very difficult to put an animal to sleep and I have done so 4 times but ONLY ONLY after it was determined that the animal was in pain and thus, a depriving of the pet of a quality of life that it deserves.

I don't think that a benign pancreatic cyst would have caused such a severe reaction; my guess is that she is suffering from something pretty serious where that is concerned. And eyes swelling are never a good thing. Honestly, treatment would probably be painful, (not to mention extremely expensive) and only prolong the inevitable euthanasia.
My sincerest condolences on the loss of your beloved pet.

I am sorry that your Foxy is so sick. It sounds to me like you and your vet have done everything possible. Maybe it is time to let her go, so that she doesnt suffer any longer. I know it is not the answer you want to hear , but it seems like the best solution for Foxy....I am sure you dont want to see her in pain anymore.
Stay strong!

Maybe she is sicker than you thought. Sounds like you and mom have done everything you can do for her. Don't make the mistake of prolonging her suffering just because you don't want to let her go. If it's time to go-you can see her someday on the otherside. Best wishes-Much sadness.

That is a really sad story, but it sounds like you and your Mom are good people and are doing everything you can. Sometimes animals just get sick really fast and pass away. It's better than a long illness where they suffer a lot. You don't want your dog to suffer, just be kind to her and tell her not to be afraid. I had to put one of my cats to sleep, and I was really sad but it didn't hurt him and it was peaceful.
