Why doesn't the USA circumvent illegal immigration from Mexico AND NAFTA as well as a host of other related issues by making a cash purchase? Buy Mexico.

I'd have no problem with that. The corrupt officials in Mexico City would go for it if the price is right. They've takin US bucks and fled the country before.
Let the land reformers reform without being killed by their government and maybe Mexicans wouldn't need to be wandering around on our side of the river.

Buying Mexico would be a disaster. If you really think about it - Mexico's own governement won't take the necessary steps to improve the country to make it a safe, functioning society - and they live there! Imagine foreigners coming in and trying to fix everything while still keeping the people there happy.

Why not?America thinks it's all mighty and powerful.Thats probably what Bush wants---to control the world.Look how he's "reforming"Iraq.He wants to be seen as the great hero of the world,even when countries don't want it.
Maybe you should drop that idea by the white house.Nah,he's probably already asked Mr.Fox who turned him down.Never know with this new president they're getting now though.

It might make more sense to implant some terrorist types in the Mexican infrastructure and then let em' do some damage up here in the USA. Then we could send our troops in and take over the country due to concerns about WMP's ;our own/USA safety. Course we could make their water better, suck up all their oil, and make the Mexican government a REAL Democracy, cast in the vein of our own heritage.

I don't want any part of Mexico. Sorry. Besides, remember the territory we bought for 15 million as part of the treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo. They seem to have trouble remembering that.

What makes you think mexico is for SALE??? After all,mexico is making BILLIONS off the U.S. taxpayers ALREADY!!!!
Maybe,if we put a STOP to ILLEGALS coming here,and DEPORT all those that are here,then they would probably HAVE TO sell!!!!! But,we don't WANT them!!!!!!!!!!!
