Not all people. Some like to stir up conversation, debate, some are really searching for answers. The ones who just want to start an online debate to piss people off, well why answer the question.

All they want is self-affirmation. They post their veiws and then just wait for someone to completely agree with them, so they can pick that as "best answer", and move on pretending like they have this great secret knowledge, because someone agrees with them, so it must be true!

Those kind of questions are called 'dishonest questions' because the person doesn't really want to know...there's an ulterior motive.
