I've been thinking that the search for the truth is like trying to get from New York to San Francisco without any street signs.

Group 1 claims that if you follow this road and avoid any detours, you'll reach SF. However they've never travelled the road, nor have they ever reached the city. Their directions are based on an old treasure map.

Group 2 on the other hand say they're not sure how to get there so their directions are vague. Head towards the sunset. If you hit the Grand Canyon you're too far south, if you see glaciers you're too far north. As we get more detail we'll let you know.

Group 3 says that like Camelot, Avalon, and Atlantis...San Francisco doesn't exist. Might as well stop looking for it.

Group 4 says that you must follow a different road than group 1, and that 70 virgins are waiting for them on the West coast.

Group 5 says that you can take any road you like, but the further of course you go, the longer it will take you the next time you travel

Group 6 says they've been there, and if you follow this path you will get there, but no one believes them.

Is the path relative to the traveler? Personal perspectives aside, to be truth, it must be absolute. How can one find evidence of anything that is spiritual in nature? Validate the experience yourself. As Emerson remarked, " It's amazing how many people will believe the depth of a body of water without taking a proper sounding themselves." Seeing is believing, even in spiritual matters. Go beyond the preconceived and find out for yourself first hand. If it is not true, at least you have the satisfaction of knowing for certain the validity of the path.

FYI Christians are Grp 6, not 1. The old treasure map was real.

You missed my Group. I am going there too. I got directions from group 1 and am going to leave a trail for others to follow. I may make some wrong turns and hit some dead ends but with my compass and journaling the route, I know how to get back on the right track if I get lost or in a bind. I don't want to miss any of the great treasure on the way so I am in no rush to get there and have the journey come to an end but I have no desire to stand here when something greater than this is ahead. I can not for sure tell you how to get there but you are welcome to travel with me and we can find it together.

well, group 2,3, and 4 are counted out automaticly.

group 3 is just nuts,
group 4 isnt promising nor is it the destination you wish to get to.

but now group 1 and 2 are almost alike. Its taking the words or strangers,
Group 1 has this map, you dont know where they got it and you dont know how trustworthy this person it.
Group 2 is sending you in a direction they hardly even know.

Group 5, I believe is the most logical, why? Because you are doing it/experiancing it yourself, instead of getting advice from others when you dont know if they know or not, or have bad advice.

Thats just my thought on it.

That's pretty close, yeah. I am in the group that simply says I don't know how to get there, but I am not going to pretend like I do. I am trying to figure out how to get there, or if it even exists. I cannot however tell you anything concrete because I simply do not know...group 6 I suppose

how long did it take you to come up with that?

I think your group 1 could be slightly altered. I've taken the road less traveled.
