i don't know if it is over with him and i don't know what to do.?

I wll try to make this brief. met a man online. talked 5 months, met and dated 5 months. he said the right things, called & text all the time. we hit it off great. we finally met the kids, his idea (i'm42,he's43).then he pulled away.Cancelled dinner plans and calls slowed down. Before that he indicated we were exclusive (text message of you are officially dating..),burned a love song cd, bought little gifts. well, i panicked and wrote him a loving letter asking what was going on. it was not bitchy. when we later talked he said his head said no his heart said yes. i stopped and saw him a week later and he said he was not motivated anymore and was missing something but wasn't sure what he was missing. oh yeah, he opened his own business during this time period that he wanted to do for 20 years. some say i was his inspiration to finally open it. anyhow it has been a week and i haven't heard from him. should i call him? am i what he is missing and can't figure it out?should i leave him be

owch sounds like a real hard one there, and i wish i had an answer for you, but who knows what goes on in a guys head... if you really really care about him call him and talk to him, say you need it sorted out once and for all for your own peace of mind, if he cares about you hell agree to meet and talk it out so u both know where you stand, if he says he doesnt wanna talk about it and keeps being distant, then sorry honey bt do u really want a guy who is willing to toy with your emotions by keeping you hanging rather than sorting it out 1 way or the other...

It seems to me that this man is indecisive, or maybe just afraid of committing to the relationship (running scared) comes to mind, and no i wouldn't call him i would let this one go simply because i wouldn't want a man who couldn't make up his mind it could be a year down the line and because he ain't got the B*lls to commit to a relation he could have told you then that he's not sure, why do you want the heartache, i know when i found my man, he was man enough to take me on, you just cant stand for any nonsense not when your heart is on the line, id leave him be, he obviously has some issues to deal with.

Girl, you should just wait, give him some time, I know its hard and it hurts, we all have felt pain at one time or two. wait, give space, and call every now and then to say hello, see if there is anything he needs or if you can be of assistance. Maybe run some errands for him or stop by with lunch. If no postive response is made by him, well keep plenty of icecream in the ref.

DO NOT let this get you down.. he is not good enough for you, you are worth so much love and caring.. unfortunatly men never truely understand a womans worth!!! if this man does not long to spend all of his time and energy making you happy..then he is quite simply not the man for you!!!!!!! LOOK YOU TRIED TO TALK AND FIGURE OUT WHAT EXACTLY GOES GOING ON, HIS ANSWER WAS THAT HE WAS MISSING SOMETHING, AND LIKE MOST MEN I FIGURE IT MIGHT BE HIS BRAIN.

ALLOT OF MEN DON'T KNOW WHEN A GOOD THING IS IN THEIR LIFE AND IN THIS SITUATION IS YOU. I couldn't figure out if he met your kids or who's kids, BUT EITHER WAY IF SOMEONE LIKES YOU MUST DEFINITELY LIKE YOUR KIDS AS WELL.

GIVE HIM TIME TO FIGURE OUT WHAT HE WANTS,AND DON'T BE TO PUSHY TO BE CALLING HIM OR LOOKING FOR HIM YOU WON'T GIVE HIM TIME TO BREATH AND YOU WILL FEEL WORST. IF HE SEE'S YOU DON'T COME AROUND ANYMORE HE WILL WONDER AND CALL YOU, LET HIM EXPLAIN HIMSELF AND RESPECT HIS DECISION .

The bottom line is that HE has to figure out for himself what he is missing. He sounds like he has issues. I'd let it go, at least for now. If it's meant to be it will be, but it sounds like he doesn't know what he wants right now.

I think you should tell him you will back off until he can figure things out. It sounds like he is scared of his feelings for you. If things don't work out, his loss. But, you don't want to make things worse.
