If I knew how, I'd set it up right away. Don't you just hate the way they keep taking over everything and preaching all the time and denying scientific fact. How can they be so blind, so stupid, so ignorant, so delusional?
I mean, how does someone accept christianity and all it's lies? It's so irrational. It's like something out of 1984, they're just persuading themselves to believe things they know aren't true. How can someone do that though? I just don't understand.
I would welcome comments from Christians if you try to make a relevant contribution to try to help me understand in rational terms. But please don't preach to me or post quotes from your story book you call the bible, because I won't waste time reading it.

Please don't just say "well don't come to the religion section then", because you know fully well that I'm not just talking about the religion section. I'm talking about the other sections such as Science and History, where we get people posting entire screen long posts about God and Creationism when people are trying to ask serious questions about the world.

No. Everyone is entitled to their own views and beliefs. We're not all going to agree on everything so just accept other people's differences and move on.

There should not be a ban, otherwise you would miss a pearl of wisdom such as this. If you want a truly good discussion about the question "Are Chirstianity and science compatible, or not", or if you are interested in an honest discussion about God and science, or whether or not there is a God provabvle by science then you should read the book "The Case for a Creator: A Journalist Investigates Scientific Evidence That Points Toward God". Its written by Lee Strobel. An introductory high school biology class first propelled Lee Strobel toward a life of atheism. God and science, he reasoned, were mutually exclusive. When the former legal editor of the Chicago Tribune converted to Christianity, he decided to investigate the science he had once accepted as truth. Did science point toward or away from God? As Strobel interviews a variety of scientists on everything from debunking evolutionary icons to the implications of the Big Bang to the existence of the human soul, he builds his case: scientific evidence points toward Intelligent Design. Although the discussion often veers into the academic, Strobel works hard to make it accessible to those without scientific training. Throughout the book, he salts interview transcript information with interesting personal stories of his own spiritual and scientific quest for knowledge, as well as sometimes over-detailed descriptions of the actual interviews (right down to the type of beverages consumed). Each chapter contains suggestions for further reading on particular issues of science and faith. Strobel concludes that, when correctly interpreted, science and biblical teaching support each other. He quotes physicist Paul Davies, "…science offers a surer path to God than religion."

Nice diatribe. I do not happen to agree with it due to the fact that most things can be answered using a biblical viewpoint. By the way how is this for a scientific fact? Did you know that our sun, just like other stars, is in fact shrinking or burning out? Did you also know that if you take the rate that the sun is shrinking and worked backwards, you would find that our planet cannot be much older than 20,000 years old because the sun would have been too hot to support life? So if you think about it, that would mean those millions of years that everyone says it took for evolution to happen, would not be possible because the sun would have been touching the earth millions of years ago. It takes more faith to believe in evolution than it does to believe in God and Jesus. : )

Christians are weak and blind and without their bibles they are lost. Their whole life goal is to live a good life and convert as many people to their religion. Personally i hate when bible nuts put story excerpts in my answers. I find it highly offensive. I dont answer their questions saying god does not exist and your an idiot for believing it and i would greatly appreciate not having to read answers which go against what i feel is right. There is no concrete proof to one or the other so i would like it if answers actually answered the quesitons too.

This is the thing..I am a Christian whether you believe in the doctrines of Christianity it comes down to a personal choice in the belief of salvation through Christ. No one can answer any decision for you except you. We all have the right to choose the path that we choose but who are you to state that Bible believing Christians don't have a right to state their opinions? You state yours rather openly and what would you say if someone stated that you shouldn't be allowed to state.....(insert...random closed-minded comment here)? That is my point, I believe everyone will be held accountable for everything that has not been forgiven by Christ alone and as for you, find your direction, make your choice, and don't discourage Christians because of your generalizations based on generalizations of your stereotypical definition of a "christian perspective." My contribution to you is to read that book called the Bible starting in John.....because even objectively speaking you would have a starting point to really evaluate what you "believe" to be untrue.

This sounds more like 1930's Germany, than Orwell's 1984. Get rid of the Christians. Who is next, the Gypsies, the Jews, the Gays, the Irish, the Mexicans - you could go on forever, just leaving you and a friend to ask each other questions about which Ipod you own, or which came first the chicken, etc. Sorry, they should have been on your list - anyone under 16. And what about 'I love this boy but am afraid to speak to him'. Ban them, all girls too....... Come on Bleh, I am a Catholic and I could not care one iota what you think about Christianity or any other religion for that matter. Feel free to voice your opinions - or should we ban them too......... Good luck, and I wont say it, but God Bless ME....................

Though I'm not a Christian myself, I love Christians. Many of my family and friends are Christians. As long as they respect me and my beliefs, it's all cool.
I really don't think we should ban anyone. You should try to respect every1, even if you don't understand. I know I don't understand it! After all, why do you think the world's so out of harmony? It's because people just will not get along and respect each other!
Please try to respect different religious/spiritual groups. Together, we can make the world a safer, more respectful place.

Look pal, the power of myth and hypnotism are extremely powerful. Do U know that marketing people use hypnotism thru TV ads to sell products?
Most innocent humans have been hypnotized and brainwashed by the so called religions for a long time. That's why some become suicide bombers and some bomb abortion clinics.
No! they should NOT be banned but EDUCATED.

You love it and you know it.
If the Christians didn't quote scripture and attempt to convert your sorry jackhorse you wouldn't have anything to piss and moan about.
You sound like a blubbering idiot speaking on a subject that you know little or nothing about.
Go play in the mud or something and let the serious Atheists and Christians carry on some real debate here.

How can someone be so hurt full and close minded? I don't care if you don't believe in the christian religion but don't sit there and try to say we are stupid or that we should be banded, granted I am not one who goes and preaches to people, but I would NEVER attack someone for their beliefs. You are the one who should be banned for being such an ******!!!!!

No. But Christians SHOULD be forced to defend their views in ways othder than regurgitating Bible verses. That is an a prior fallacy, sicne it begs the question of whether the Bible is valid to begin with.
