What pleasure is derived from throwing rubbish bins over a bridge and into a river?

This being a favourite past time where I live, it has raised my curiosity as to why young people do this......

According to what I was told years ago, these groups share a brain, the one with the brain stays home, leaving the others to do completely pointless and stupid things.

1. the splash of the water.
2. the dispersal of possibly smelly garbage.
3. The sight of a trash bin careening through the air(is it a long drop?)
4. The bond established when you toss it, then look for a second at your mate, and see nothing but approval in his eyes.

I didn't know it was a pastime.
But, I dump bins into the river becuz Its the cheapest way to dispose of my companies waste without having to pay for a special garabage dump disposal permit. So thats why i've been dumping barrels of toxic and ionizing radiation waste into the chicago river for years.
I don't know why anyone else would do it though.

Mostly cuase there is nothing else to do. Its almost the same as if you were to take pebbles and throw them into the river except people throw larger objects.
