If there's a cover on it, remove it. Don't locate it near where they eat. Change the litter type and brand. Too granular can affect the cat as can the opposite.

My cat does the same thing. Pees on Furniture....anywhere except the box. Take him to a VET. Found out that My Kitty has Feline Diabetes....Also if there are other cats in the house, then he is PO'd and letting you know...Been there, still going thru it! But since I took him to the Vet he is improving some. Not so much as peeing on furniture, but still misses his box. I plan to get a BIGGER LITTER BOX next.

initially, are you making each and every of the cats use an same clutter field? if so, do not. Get separate bins. that would nicely be one reason they are peeing everywhere. Cats do not opt to apply yet another cats clutter field. second, it would want to o.k. be because your cats at the instantaneous are round a clean cat and vice verso. even as cats are scared or mad at you, they do have a tendency to pee everywhere except the cat field. I heavily doubt it has something to do with the cat being in warmth. once you do flow out, the project will be mounted. also, if the clutter field is dirty then cats will flow elsewhere. ascertain you've a clean cat field and get separate ones on your cats. with any success which could help some.

Get a second box.

Many cats prefer to pee in one and poop in a different one.

I would suggest trying a different type of litter except that he does use it for one part of his business.

Neither will mine. If it likes to pee on a carpet, put a piece of carpet in front of the litter box.

I would first take him to the vet and have his urine checked for a urinary tract infection. Then go from there. Your vet will have suggestions for you if he checks out healthy on how to change his behavior.

yeah, threaten him with taking him to the pound. if that doesn't work, buy another litter box, maybe he'll find it "pee worthy."

You might want to ask a vet. That sometimes indicates an illness.
