I got campylobacter from a chicken burger. It was serious alright. I thought I was going to die. I was in hospital for three days and took another nine days before I got over the runs. The hospital reported it to the ministry of health and they rang up and asked me questions and then went and inspected the place. It occurs in most poultry though so they can't recall it. It is more about safe food handling and making sure it is properly cooked.

Yes, from turkey (deli kind for sandwiches). Don't know if there was a recall on the meat and it wasn't serious. Just vomitting for a day or so.

I never did, but my sister has had it twice.. once from Burger King salad bar back when they had one.. and then Sis and my Mom and dad got it at a Chicken Pie Supper at a church.. you never know who handles the chicken there. She spent 3 days in the hospital with the salad bar epsidode and had to go to the doctors for the chicken pie, but still very sick

I lived in mexico for 3 years for work...there was this little joint where i could get a roasted whole chicken with tortillas and sauce for 5 bucks. I thought it was great, i could eat half for lunch, and half for dinner......
one time i bought one for lunch, and i laid down for a minute, and then when i tried to get up, my stomach hurt like i have never felt before, and my legs couldn't move, and i felt like i was going to explode......i was kind of scared, but after about 15 minutes i was able to stand up, but i felt really weak and shaky....
I never bought chicken from that joint again

Nope. Raised 'em & ate 'em. @Sepsis Chickens will runabout for like 5 minutes when you reduce the fill up, don't understand how lengthy they run about after strangulation, (yet otherwise to prepare hen for supper).
