Perhaps if they'd crack those Bibles open on occasion instead of just carrying them, they'd discover they shouldn't be fighting anywhere at all.

Yes you should. As a member of your country, which has no religious offiliation you are morally obligated to fight and die like the rest of us. Just because you cannot have your bible doesnt mean that you should be treated any differently. The christians already have too much of an influence on public policy and becuase of the difference in beliefs it causes problems with the middle east, not saying it is the main problem but it is one of them. This means that you should go and fight and die for what you believe in and in support of your country that supports you, even at the risk of denying rights to other Americans so that you can be happy. The issue of gay marriage is a blatant sign of the influence of christians on government. Those people are not allowed to marry who they love and desire to marry because the thought to christains is that it ruins the sacrement of marriage and goes against god when it does not directly affect a christian. Being inSaudi Arabia without a bible is not the worst thing that can happen to you. After all if your god does exist then he will be there for you, with or without your bible. I am so tired of christians carrying their bibles and when they cant have it whining and thinking that they should get speical treatment just because they are christians without their bibles. They are Americans first, so their first responsibility is to thier country

If Christian's would study and memorize the Bible they wouldn't need to carry it all over the place. Put it in your heart...keep it in your head.

I believe that U.S. government has played pussyfoot with the Muslims. We allow freedom of religion in out country, even allow a rogue Islamic nation to keep their faith. But we forbid out soldiers to exercise their faith in order not to offend Islam. There is something wrong with this picture.

Should Christians fight at all? Didn't Jesus say, Put away your sword. Who lives by the swrod dies by the sword." Doesn't the OT sy, "Nation shall not lift sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more."?

Well sometimes one has to help the enemy. What is more concern is the lack of religous freedom in our own country.
