Yes.

The TV set should have multiple input jacks, including a coaxial cable.

The DVD player should have multiple output jacks.

Pick one of them.

most likely it has at the very least Audio/Video inputs, which will allow you to use a DVD player. Even better would be if it has Component inputs. (Y/Pb/Pr)

If your TV has an "S-Video" input (small round multi-pin connector) then you should use that.
