You are talking about two separate things - flab and stronger muscles - that have nothing to do with each other.
To strengthen your muscles, you need to do an ab routine at least 3 times a week.
To get rid of flab, you have to decrease your over all body fat. That entails changing your diet from what you were probably used to eating while pregnant to something less high in calories, as well as starting an exercise program.
You may also experience loose skin. If you still have that after decreasing your body fat percentage, then you may have to consult a plastic surgeon.

In addition to crunches, legs, lifts, etc., my wife added Relacore to her diet. It is belly-fat specific and worked wonders.
Make sure you get the full strength 90-count, 3 a day formula, NOT the 110-count, less potent, 6 a day formula sold at Wal-Mart.

Suck it in. Consciously hold in and contract your ab muscles while you’re walking, sitting at the desk or making the meal. This will help to strengthen your abdominal muscles and your core, and provide one step closer to a new flatter stomach.

Beans, beans, are best for your heart, the more you take in the more you... lose excess weight actually. Super-effective and full connected with fibre, beans will regulate your appetite and slow down the rate at which the stomach empties, meaning you be fuller for longer.

Eat goats cheese as an alternative to regular cheese. It contains 40 percent fewer calories than the cheese constructed from cow’s milk.

Palates exercise. There is a Palates exercise machine on the market and it's absolutely GREAT! Or just buy the palates video tape that focuses on stomach flattening.

People who plan their weekly meals will be more successful at losing weight than people that don’t. Plan your dishes to incorporate healthy carbs such as special potato and wholegrain pasta, greens and lean proteins, buy the many ingredients in advance and don’t be tempted to enjoy out or order in.
