First and foremost know that you are not alone. Depression has a way of making us feel as though no one could ever understand what we are going through. See a counselor and speak to him/her, it helps to have someone listen and help you to see what you can't.

See a therapist. If its just a rough patch, you may be able to talk it out. If its something more, such as a chemical imbalance you may need more advanced therapy. A therapist will ask you all types of questions about your past and about your current situtation and then determine the best treatment for you.

Try going out for a jog or play some team sports. If you're depression is based on the events of your life, some excercise will help your mental state.
If you feel your depression is a result of some messed up brain chemistry (nothing will get you happy) than you might want to seek a psychiatrist.

Wake up every morning and thank God for another day. Look at the sun and feel it's warm. try to say around bright colors and talkative ppl. Get out and do things you've never done. Go sky diving, rocky-mountain climbing, ride a bull. Live everyday day as if it were your last!!!!

You are not alone. I myself have been in deep depression also at a "challenging" point in my life. I went to a depression counselor that is available to me through my work and it was the best thing I could have done for myself, he(Chris) saw things in me that I was not aware of that were ruining my life ( or so I thought) and in the course of a couple of sessions I was feeling better about my life, career and personal relationships. Try counseling, it worked for me.
GOOD LUCK!!

you dont have any. stop being nasty and stop looking at the path as being a rough patch. the best thing for you to do is enjoy the rough ride. you will not get it once again in your life.

Look at the good things in life, even if they are small. Do the things you enjoy, or used to enjoy, they will make you feel better. If you feel that you need help, try a therapy called "Cognitive Behavior Modification" - it works without drugs. You learn to identify the thoughts you have that make you depressed, and you learn how to deal with them.

Give your life to Jesus! He's the author and creator of joy. The joy of the Lord is my strength. He will never leave you nor forsake you. In his presence is fullness of joy. Jesus came to give us life, and life more abundantly, a real life with a real purpose. Let him be master and savior of your life, by praying to him right now. Declare him to be lord of your life, accept him as your savior, and begin living the good life that you were created for!

See a therapist to be evaluated. It does not necessarily mean medication. I meet with mine just to talk thing through. Without more information, I can't give you any other advice.
