I am looking for MP3 play with FM transmitter. Some products are described having FM tuner. Not sure it is same as FM transmitter or not.

fm tuner means it plays radio stations. fm transmitter is the device you purchase seperately that will broadcast your music onto an fm station so that you can play in on your car radio.

Dude. FM tuner is the regular radio on FM. An fm transmitter is what you can buy to hook your mp3 player up to to listen to it on the FM radio. Does that help?

fm tuner is like a normal radio it recieves radio signals on the fm band although most recieve signals on the am band too

fm transciever is like a policemans radio it can transmitt as well as recieve signals on the fm band

fm = frequency modulation
am = amplitude modulation

as far as you are concerned a reciever is for recieving radio stations, and a transmitter is to transmitt ipod music to a radio reciever

No it isn't. A tuner is a reciever, not a transmitter.

No.
A tuner is basically a receiver (one which has a rather low output so you need an amplifier too.)
