Yes, it is. It comes down to integrity. Meaning, that if you did that, you have none. If you're worried about someone lying to you, or cheating on you, you should confront the issue. However, if you don't trust the person, there's no reason to be with them. So, did you find out what you wanted to know from reading his or her email, you nosy nelly?

Yes it is! And why would you be snooping in your girlfriens or boyfriends email anyways? By doing that you're showing lack of trust in that relationship and any relationship not based on trust will end sooner than later. Everything in life fades - but trust remains.

If you really trusted your boyfriend or girlfriend then you wouldn't be interested in what their emails said. Besides, you could just ask them right?

If your doing it without his/her knowledge then there is a serious trust issue in the relationship. It is definately no on to read someones email, mail anything without them being aware of it.

It is wrong but somtimes you just need to know whats going on. I go through my g/f's mails and myspace every once in a while. It actually makes things better between us b/c I don't end up being an asshole b/c I'm worrying about who shes talking to.

Yes, with a few exceptions:

You have a strong feeling he's cheating on you. With the risk of HIV and hepatitis, you can't fool around. Keep an eye on him first or ask him if you think you can first.

He is engaging in self-damaging behaviour involving drug abuse, alcohol abuse, reckless driving, neglect of health concerns, etc.

He is suicidal or self-destructive and refuses to talk openly. He seems quite unstable and moody.

He is stealing money from you in large amounts.

Yes, I do believe it is wrong. However, I will admit that I have done it. I have had suspicion that my significant other was cheating with somebody online so I read their email.
