I broke up with my ex 3 months ago and I occasionaly still think about him. I have a new boyfriend, who is really awesome and wonderful, and he lives with me. We get a long great when we are getting along, but when we fight its awful. I feel like its the end of the world. he loves me more than i love him. i feel like I love him, but at the same time like i have no love left to give. I occasionally get caught up thinking about my ex, we were together 5 years... and get very depressed. I hurt my ex a lot and was not there for him when he needed me. how to move on? how to know if this new guy is right for me? how to get over my ex completely?

Its is hard to get over an ex when u jump right back into a relationship. Every body has a different healing process... it may take time for you to get over your ex... u just didn't take the time u needed to. 3 months on a short amount of time and it is not easy to get over 5 years with someone you loved and still have feelings for. I think it is a good idea to be alone for a little while after a relationship. Especially one that lasted so long This way you will be able to give your ALL to a new man and you wont be distracted by old feelings. Just curious Is there any possible way you could work things out with your ex?

Girl you got problems but its not that bad, first of all, you moved on, you got a new guy, which was a major step for you right. Second you said you occasionally think of him, not you think of him constantly, or your obsessed with him, so that means its getting easier, right, however you need to understand it is OK for you to think of him sometimes, five years is a long time. However donot replace a relationship with another one which based on the above do not sound to good or stable. Good look and pray on it.

You need time to yourself. It's less than 3 months and someone else has already moved in. It may be hard, but it seems like the new guy was a rebound, and those hardly work out. Take some time to yourself.

Thinking about your ex for a while is normal just don't act on it or you'll be asking for trouble don't even call him to say hi.
Give your new relationship some time then you can evaluate your feelings about the relationship and your new man.

OMG!!! IM IN THE SAME SITUATION!!
WELL I WAS WITH MY EX FOR TWO YEARS AND I I BROKE UP WITH HIM AND AFTER FEW MONTHS I HAVE A NEW BOYFRIEND...NOW IM WITH THE NEW GUY FOR A YEAR AND I LOVE HIM SO MUCH...HE THINKS HE LOVES ME MORE THAN I DO AND HE SAYS HE TRUST ME BUT I KNOW HE DOESNT....AND IM 6 YRS YOUNGER THAN HIM..SO HE THINKS IM JUST GOING TO LEAVE HIM.BUT I LIVE WITH HIM SO THERES NO WAY IM GOING TO MESS THAT UP.....AND WHEN WE FIGHT WE FIGHT BIG..SCREAM AT EACH OTHER..BUT WE GET ALONG RIGHT AWAY..I LOVE HIM SO MUCH THAN MY EX BUT IT'S TRUE...
ONCE IN A WHILE..I DO THINK ABOUT MY EX BECAUSE FOR SOME REASON...I THINK...THAT ME AND MY EX NEVER FOUGHT ABOUT THIS.OR THAT..JUST DIFF THINGS..
I COMPARE MY NEW BF TO MY EX..BUT I KNOW IM NOT GOING BACK TO MY EX BECAUSE WHY WOULD I DO THAT..
THE REASON WHY I BROKE UP WITH HIM IS TO BE WITH A BETTER GUY WHO TAKES CARE OF ME AND PAYS ATTENTIOIN TO ME...AND I FOUND HIM..

BUT ITS NORMAL FOR YOU TO THINK ABOUT YOUR EX'S..THERES NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT..AS LONG AS YOU DONT MAKE IT LOOK LIKE YOU'RE STILL INLOVE WITH THEM..
AND TRY NOT TO TELL YOU'RE BF THAT..BECAUSE HE WILL THINK SOMETHING NEGATIVE...

You will get over it ... be patient and give the new guy a Chance ... he may could prove to you that he is aright guy for you ... you should be nice to him as well if you love him so forget the past and move on ...

The time spent on a daily period created attachments to 'your' emotional/intellectual/etc. so it's time to spent those same time periods reflectins/doing other projects untill some-one of a similar importance enters 'your' life...
