Yes. With the teachings of Christianity aside, i can't help but forgive those who have hurt me, but within time of course, I just do not see the point in clinging on to anger towards people.
By not letting go and not forgiving, you hold onto those feelings of anger, hurt and stress and eventually become angry, hurting of other people and stressed yourself.
However i do believe strongly in the teachings of Christianity and being forgiving is a hard thing to do but proves what a strong and compassionate person you are.

Yes I have with the Lord's help. It took me along time to forgive my ex-husband for cheating on me and leaving me for another woman. He's left her and about 4 others. He's a LOSER but I have forgiven him.

I will never forgive until those who have damaged me have admitted their wrongdoing and asked for my forgiveness. As long as they continue to say that I deserved to be hurt simply because I was born then I will not and cannot offer forgiveness.

My pastor said that one way to know when we are becoming mature in Christ is when we can forgive people faster and faster.

So whats the question..
here is mine: What did Christ forgive us for? If it is for our sins, what use is that forgiveness, bcs we still sin nonetheless.. we were neither rewarded nor threatened by that "forgiveness" - what use was it, if it ever was?

Yes I have. It felt wonderful. I am now close to them, and I don't believe they would hurt me again. This isn't true in every situation.

No I haven't.
Tell me how to and I will try. I mean how can I forgive someone who has done so much harm?
It's not easy.

it's very hard to forgive my sister-in-law that verbally and physically abused my nephew ( his step-mom )
It's been 5 years since I have spoken to her and I have no problem not talking to her.
