Reality-based.
And it's tough, because learning that life isn't all hearts and flowers was one of the hardest things I've had to deal with. But once you realise that life sucks - and it does for everyone, at one time or another - you do feel kind of liberated.

"Faith based" Definitely not.
Reality based? I not sure I know what reality is.
Let's see.....
Subjective Reality-the reality my mind puts together based on the interpretation of the constant sensory information coming in and processed in conjunction with previous experiences I believed were real, but heavily influenced by my emotional state at the time of occurrence. Probably different, but uniquely related to belief.
Objective reality- What's really going on in all aspects, except that the mind is clearly not able to perceive of this fully.
Hmmm.... Is there a another option I can choose?
How about knowledge based?

I have great faith in reality. Time will continue to chug along regardless of the form of our relationship with it. I have faith that everything will happen as it happens.
Though I can't remember the title of the war, there was a large war fought in the orient where the soldiers on one side went in without shields or arms because "they had faith that their god would protect them". He didn't. This seems a fairly good argument that faith may have many redeeming qualities, but one must attend to reality if they wish to survive to an old age.

They are both the same thing I believe. You can not have faith in some thing you believe to be a myth and reality could be based on falsehood. I think your question is blind faith based or scientific based. So I am scientific based.

Spirituality is within our reality. Regardless of how one would like to imagine it, all things exist within our mind. Senses are our only windows to this vast outside world we percieve. The human mind is a very powerful tool, which holds true the fact that thoughts do manifest. What you think about determines what you see, do, say, and translate within everyday life. People subconsciously can pick feelings, thoughts, and emotions from you. If all you think about is god, then you best believe that god is real as anything else you could imagine as real. True, undoubted Belief creates this reality. If you don't believe as though other's belieo tve they find you out of touch with reality. Why? Because belief creates reality.

Everything is faith based. Either it's faith in what you can see or prove, or faith in what is unseen.
Science so far has proven to be very bad at "declaring" truths. It's constantly reproving and disproving it's own theories. At it's core science is a journey of discovery, not declaration.
