My boyfriend has drinking probles. When his drunk he tends to hate me. When his sober he loves me, but then I'm mad because of the drinking. I love him, I want to help him, but he doesen't want to be help. He can't see that at the age of 25 he is an alcoholic. The drinking has affected our relationship. We never go out, I don't want to be with him (you know how) because of it.

you can tell him its me or the alcohol, pal... too many families are ruined by drinking. you can stop this from happening to your life too... especially if he's an abusive drunk (verbal, sexual, physical etc)...and if he won't love himself enough to confront the problem, walk away.. there's only hurt. there...

Things will only worsen, especially the abuse. He could physically abuse you next. If he doesn't want the help then he doesn't love you - sorry to say. You don't need to be someone who is like Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde.

It will not change until he decides to change it and until then you will be frustrated and miserable. Tell him what you think and then be prepared to act in accordance if you don't see a difference.

Force him into treatment. You can do it if you put your mind to it...and your love will grow when he gets sober
