This is the part of Christianity I just don't get at all. The last thing I want is an immortal soul--there is no bliss I would want to experience for eternity. Even happiness palls with nothing to compare it to (I know you think it won't in heaven because it's MAGIC bliss, but I don't see how it wouldn't). Our life on earth is beautiful and bitter precisely because it is so short, and to wish to prolong it is to miss the sweetness. I find it much less depressing to believe death comes as an end, swift and final, than to try and make myself believe in an unbelievable, eternally boring heaven and hell.

i believe in God and want to go to heaven. who doesn't? there is more to heaven. heaven is a sanctuary, not to feel "magical bliss". heaven to me is peace. that's all i want when i get to heaven. i have a great life, a very blessed life. i just know that things will be alot better there. right now, i have alife to life, and i pray to God i live it the best way i can: through HIM.
