You are obviously against abortion and obviously against gay unions and gay parenting.

What are YOU doing about these poor children besides limiting their futures with a loving family?

I *really* want to know...

I seriously did not know you could actually be a Christian and support gay rights and abortion. Thanks for letting me know. That'll be my next question.

...and no...I have never molested a child, you @sshole.

I can't afford any more children. Why would I desire to adopt more?

I'm a Christian, and this is a very good question. No one, not a judge, or a preacher should advise people against abortion, and not be willing and able to meet the needs of that unborn child. That is called respons-ability.
When my little sister got pregnant, she was considering an abortion. My mother and I asked her not too, and agreed to do what ever we could to help her raise her child. We kept the child until she was twelve, and then my little niece went to live with her mom, and her husband (not the father, but married after child was born). She has grown to be a wonderful person. The fact that my niece turned out to be gay, was a disappointment. A disappointment because we doubt if she will ever have children of her own.

That's what we did, and if I had it all to do over, I wouldn't change a thing. Does that give me the right, in your eyes to say abortion is murder? Because it is. But I am not justified by my actions, I am justified by my faith, and I think my niece will agree with me.

Why is it "obvious" that all Christians are against abortion, gay unions, and gay adoption?
I am a Christian, a supporter of gay rights (and those initiatives and politicians that promote gay marriage), and a biological parent who is currently working to become an adoptive parent as well.
When you assume that every individual of a particular demographic shares the extreme beliefs its most vocal members you make the same error as the ignorant user below who assumes all homosexuals are child abusers.

First of all, true Christians have tolerance for all people. My best friend that I love dearly is gay. So what. Im a Christian, but that doesn't automatically make me a narrow-minded idiot. I love Jesus and thank him every day for his blessings. I haven't adopted any orphans or saved the world, but I am raising 4 kids that I chose to bring into the world under less than perfect circumstances. I am a paramedic, and helping people in their time of true need is wonderful to me. I dont care if their gay, straight, whatever, they get the same treatment from me. Also, I'm going to nursing school to become a nurse to help people even more. I have devoted my entire career so far to helping people, and will continue to do so until it's no longer possible. If I was filthy rich like Angelina, I would adopt a houseful of kids, but Im just a normal working person. Dont be so quick to judge people with a blanket statement like you made. Its not fair to true believers who love and accept people just as they are.

I'm a Christian, but I don't get into the Homosexual arguments because I prefer to stay neutral.

Most believe passing on their "blood line/DNA" is more important than giving a child the home it needs. I know, once I settle down I want to adopt. The world is already overpopulated, and many kids would love to have a home. Like, I saw this infertility documentary where this woman couldn't have children. This is what happened:
Questioner: Why don't you adopt?
Woman: Why would I want to? Those children are unwanted. Why do you think their mothers gave them away if they wanted them? I want my own children - not some unwanted child.

You obviously have no idea as to how expensive it is to adopt let alone how difficult it can be. Actually we are planning to adopt but it is difficult. My husband is 20 years older than I and I have some health problems that they tend to exclude. Adopting a child now a days costs more than giving birth. Strange that they want these children in homes yet make it almost impossible. I also donate time and money to Catholic Charities, children's groups, and pro life activities such as our local Pregnancy Care Center.
Peace of Christ,
Debra

The majority of them haven't adopted any children but they want to make sure that the children who could be adopted by loving gay parents are sitting in an orphanage somewhere feeling like damaged goods!

chemical: You are an a**hole!! Just because someone is gay doesn't mean they molest kids! The majority of pedophiles are straight! You are probably one of them!

I am not myself capable of adopting a child for health and financial reasons, but I do have a Christian aunt (and late uncle) who adopted six children and had quite a few foster children.

None yet, but we'll most likely be adopting one in the near future. As for gay people, how many kids have you molested?

As far as the gay thing, a person has the choice to do what they want. I have gay friends. I don't agree with the practice, but I won't scold someone because of it. It isn't my place. I think anyone who is stable (mentally and financially) should be able to adopt.

None yet, but I'd like to in the future.

I think that it's wrong to intentionally deny children a mother or a father...but I think those of us that think that need to be willing to open our own homes to children who need a family...that's why I'd like to in the future, when we have children.
