Concrete poisoning is pretty common and very dramatic. It has to do with the chromate chemicals in concrete. It can really damage your skin for a while. The best thing to do is to wear heavy gloves and lots of skin protection when you are around or pouring wet concrete. Wear greasy skin protectants and always wash thoroughly after exposure, then put on some eucerin cream. Good luck!
