No. I don't like churches so I practice my faith in my own way.

In am a Christian Pastor.
No, it isn't really necessary to go to Church as long as you are able to spend time in God's Word and time in prayer.
There are many people that due to circumstances have to work on Sunday and are unable to attend.
There are others that are home bound.
A Church is nothing more than a building, there is nothing that makes it special as the only place you can worship God.
Having fellowship with other Christians is the real benefit of Church but then that fellowship can be at a picnic, a ball game or something of that nature.
If you have children, be sure they are taught to Honor their Mother and Father and that God is real.

Most religious organizations have produced bad fruitage. It is not the fact that groups are organized that is bad. But many have promoted forms of worship that are based on false teachings and are largely ritualistic instead of providing genuine spiritual guidance; they have been misused to control the lives of people for selfish objectives; they have been overly concerned with money collections and ornate houses of worship instead of spiritual values; their members are often hypocritical. Obviously no one who loves righteousness would want to belong to such an organization. But true religion is a refreshing contrast to all of that. Nevertheless, to fulfill the Bible’s requirements, it must be organized.
Perhaps those scriptures may help in regards to this queation:
Heb. 10:24, 25: “Let us consider one another to incite to love and fine works, not forsaking the gathering of ourselves together, as some have the custom, but encouraging one another, and all the more so as you behold the day drawing near.” (To carry out this Scriptural command, there must be Christian meetings that we can attend on a consistent basis. Such an arrangement encourages us to express love toward others, not only concern about self.)
1 Cor. 1:10: “Now I exhort you, brothers, through the name of our Lord Jesus Christ that you should all speak in agreement, and that there should not be divisions among you, but that you may be fitly united in the same mind and in the same line of thought.” (Such unity would never be achieved if the individuals did not meet together, benefit from the same spiritual feeding program, and respect the agency through which such instruction was provided. See also John 17:20, 21.)
1 Pet. 2:17: “Have love for the whole association of brothers.” (Does that include only those who may meet together for worship in a particular private home? Not at all; it is an international brotherhood, as shown by Galatians 2:8, 9 and 1 Corinthians 16:19.)
Matt. 24:14: “This good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.” (For all nations to be given the opportunity to hear that good news, the preaching must be carried out in an orderly way, with suitable oversight. Love for God and for one’s fellowman has caused people around the earth to unite their efforts to do this work.)

I think you are right that God looks at the heart. I have to say I couldn't imagine my life without my church. Here is what our preacher says. He says in order to have a well-balanced spiritual life, you need the macro, micro, and the nano. The macro is the church - the gathering of fellow believers praising God, learning, encouraging each other and singing songs. The micro is your small group of close friends who will help keep you accountable in your life. The nano is that one friend or two who you talk, pray, and share with on a regular basis. Of course you can be a Christian and not go to church, but who would want to miss it? Good luck to you.

According to the Bible...where there are 3 or more people praying to God...that is a church! A church is God's house...but, that does not mean it has to be a church sanctioned by a particular sect or denomination. Of course, church is important if you want to hang out with people that believe the same things as you do...fellowship.

I don't think it's necessary, but it can help you learn how to be a good person, how to have hope, and to meet other people with the same goal. I think God knows you, and he knows if you are a good person, or striving to be one, even if not perfect. God loves you, no matter what. You don't need any church that tells you you are a big sinner and makes you feel guilty.

Yes, it is necessary to go to Church. Because without hearing the word of God how can we build a faith, without faith it is impossible to please God. Yes, I agree that God look to your heart, but remember this going to Church is getting fellowship and being friendly with every one. If you stay alone and don't go to Church, then when you die there will be no one in your funeral service. Not only this Bible command us to do this. We have to gather together in Jesus name. When you go to Church you will be blessed and be friend with every one. But you should also be involve in Church activity and help poor people. If you do this you will be rewarded. But staying home only can not help you to be faithful. To express your faith you should bring it in action. If you say I love you God by faith and there is no action means you are lair. You have to prove that you love God. So to prove that you love God you have to go to Church, and help poor people. Just read Matthew 25: 1 to last verse. You will know little about your service in God. Only being Christian won't help you. If My answers is harsh for you, then report as abuse, but if you like it then contact me. I will help you to fix you with God. I once like you, I use to say same things you said, but time came I had to change my lifestyles.
Thank you for asking this question.

The writer of Hebrews thought it was prudent for us to gather together in a collective act of worship. So do I.
23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

OK church is a good place to go. you should find a church that supports you your beliefs and you are comfortable with. Don't put to much into the denominational names. I have been to The church of Christ and liked it there and now I go to a Pentecostal church and like it here. I don't believe that if you don't go to church than you won't go to heaven in the end its about your walk with Christ. that being said church is important because it puts you in a place to learn and to be with others that share your beliefs. this helps you to walk closer to Christ which is again the most important part. it a big circle. walk with Christ- going to church helps walk closer- closer walk with Christ

Your personal relationship with God is what is important. The organizations buildings are merely a meeting place. It is a choice you have to make for yourself. The only real advice I can give you is that if you attend a particuliar denomination and you feel uncomfortable seek another place.

Necessary to be saved? No. But God commands Christians to go to church. We need to be around other believers.
