Whoa! I am surprised at the militant, hateful and excuse the language, "dumb" response to this question. Missionaries are in every religion. All Muslims are required to tell others about their religion. They are not allowed to force others to convert, however, as God says in the Qur'an, "There is no compulsion in religion." They're no fifth column or trying to take over the U.S.A. (LOL) They're simply letting people know the truth. Next time, instead of ignoring them, actually listen and you might learn something!
They simply are letting you know what their religion is about. Its not about big business, you'd be surprised. Unlike a lot of christian evangelists, there is little to NO money involved in Islamic missionary work (or Dawah, as its called). Its all run by volunteers and non-profits who constantly hold fundraisers to fund themselves.

They are not "missionaries", they are called "terrorist". They are wolves, in sheep's clothing. They are not to be trusted. They use their religion to justify their taste for murder, and they use "peace talk" as a vehicle to smuggle their bombs and tools of terrorism into this country. Religious freedom and diplomatic immunity will be the downfall of this country. Christianity is the foundational faith of this country, and its practitioners are the only ones who deserve absolute freedom of worship. The pagan religions of foriegn nations should be controled and restricted because they teach murder is justifiable if their god requires it of them, and that is like giving the fox the keys to the chicken house. Tolerance for the sake of peace is the creado of liberals and cowards.

They're entitled to offer they're religion to any one who's interested! Islam literally translates to peace and I think it's wrong that terrorists are being assosciated with Islam when everything they do stands against Islams and they're not Muslims. Muslims abhor every act of terrorism and are against suicide and the killing of innocents (which the terrorists condone), so they can't be assosciated or considered Muslim and I think that Muslims have every right to clear their names!! Terrorists have unfairly been associated as Islamic and Muslims, even though it's the farthest from the truth and I think they're entitled to clear their names and show what Islam stands for: peace!!
