I heard a bird chirrping at 1:00 a.m. What is the meaning of this?

This is a silly question, but yes
birds mate midair, taking less than a second. Domesticated birds like a box to place their young, but do hop on, male hops on female when she allows it. A breeding pair will mate as soon as they get into the same cage, but some are not ready, so before damage is done to their feathers, remove one until ready.

Birds mate buy danceing in the air.
what you heard at 1:00 a.m was probably not a bird mating,
i don't think they mate in the middle of the night

If it was just one bird chirping, I don't think it was mating. Maybe it had a nightmare.

They mate when not flying ,just by sitting over the partner. Chirping may be done.but chirping alone does not mean it.
