the 5.7 X 28 cartridge is available in a civilian version. There is a 28gr. JHP with a muzzle velocity of @ 2300 fps. and 330 ft/lb of muzzle energy. A 40gr. V-Max with a muzzl velocity of @ 1950 fps. and 340 ft/lb of muzzle energy. this data is for rounds shot out of a FN P90. A 9mm 115gr. FMJ has a muzzle velocity of @ 1280 fps. and 420 ft/lb of muzzle energy. A .223 rem.55gr. Sp has a muzzl velocity of @ 3240 fps. and 1282 ft/lb of muzzle energy.

Considering the 5-7 ammo is armor piecing and only sold to cops/military I'd say the stopping power is very good.


The FNH 5-7 handgun is support to be a good gun, but no better than the Springfield XD.
