Why does not god answer Muslims' prayers?

Question

There are many verses in Quran that assure Muslims that god will definitely answer whatever they ask in their prayers. Some of those verses are [2:186, 40:60] and many others.

If this is the case, why did not god answer all the prayers from all muslims all over the years? No offense, but anyone can realize that Muslim countries are among the least developed countries although many of them are among the richest countries in the world.

Why muslims are still less developed, why they have the highest disease ratios and the least literacy ratios? Why does not god simply answer their prayers and make them the most powerful countries all over the world?

[please note that in all those verses, god gave UNCONDITIONAL promise to answer anyone who ask him]

For the Muslim friends who answered this question, let me give you an example. In March 2003, while US army was getting ready to invade Iraq, Muslim scholars called all Muslims all over the world to fast one day and keep sincerely praying for god to stop Americans from invading Iraq. In less than 24 hours, the Americans were already inside Baghdad. I can assure you that there were at least THOUSANDS of sincere prayers from very good Muslims. Why did not god answer those prayers???

Napoleon has said - God (or Allah) is on the side of the army with the bigger guns. I guess the guns of Americans were bigger.

God had intended for there to be sufferage. No country can be most powerful. It is so that the government of Muslium countries are the reason why there are still devestation. I understand that musliums have prayed for so much and have recived little. My opinion: there are too many muslium rebels. The army in Iraq or Iran or where ever are those who are causing so much. Also because, perhaps, the US prisedent or government refuses to help. My guess is because the government in most muslim countries can not be trusted. God watches everything. But untill countries are ready to make major sacrifices, how do you expect God to do anything? They must do something positive in recreating their country in order for God to bid His part....This is all my opinion. But understand God has NO favorites...we are ALL HIS. And if we want something we must be willing to make some sacrifices.

God will answer our prayers in the judgment day when you will be standing with your face down and one thing more you cant remove our trust from God because what we ask in prayers that is fulfilled so isn't it a answer?Muslims countries are the less developed countries but are till Muslims.If your country was the less developed country so you have changed your religion till now.Tell me how your country became rich? by stealing oil.From where your country steals oil?from Muslim countries.So which countries were the most blessed ones.

God does answer the Muslims prayer but since God knows what is best for us, He will give in accordance to that benefit. Like if we asked our parents for every thing, they, in their wisdom did not bow down to our lowly desires. God also says what is best for you is in the next world. Most governments of the Middle East are set up my the American government as puppets. The diseases here are more, like HIV, cancer, diabetes, etc. Note, etc, etc, etc. Algebra, Chemistry, etc all came from the Middle East, including all the prophets of God. Note, the oldest Christians in the world are Arab and say Isa ibn Allah, Jesus son of Allah plus they ride camels and wear turbans if that shocks you. I can go on and on and on. When ever you go to a graduation, the hat and gown are Arabic b/c that is where education ascended to North Africa and then brought Europe out of the dark ages w/ its after effect.

TO be honest God is answering muslims prayers at full.. Muslims will be the hero of future... war can never be fought without oil... consider there is no oil in this whole world worlds top 5 oil exporters are muslims countries... so lets say there is no oil in non-muslim world.. how will their jet fighters F-22 B-52 bomber planes work? how will their tanks run?...

God has given muslims OIL..... saudi Arabia have oil,,, iran have oil..... so just wait and seeee... the end to western so called civilization is near to its end...

secondly.. crimes are very rare in muslim world as compared to USA....

AFter oil.. muslims have MOUNTAINS OF GOLD... believe it or not i live in Saudi Arabia and i have visited Syria .. near makkah and madina there are MOUNTAINS full of GOLD.. king knows that.. its the future weapon... Middle Eastern Muslims are the richest people on this earth....(unlike USA when 1 person is a multi billionaire and the other is homeless)

God does listen and answer muslim prayers. The problem with the present muslims is that they have fallen into something which is based on hearsay and traditions and divided into sectarian groups.

Muslims are backward because they are living under corrupt government which are full of greedy politicians.

That is because we demand the least. I live in a Muslim country. Majority of people here only wish for one thing; women. They want plenty of them!!! Words like love, care or anything doesn't means anything for them.
You only get what you wish for....Muslims don't want to succeed, they don't wish to progress through science. They do not ask for it. They want money and ya Muslim countries are among the richest.{and ya they have a lot and lot of women!}

This confuses me a lot. Our religion is beautiful but the followers are just women-maniacs,nothing else!

God does answer the prayers of GOOD muslims .. go it .. the muslim that follows the rule and regualtions of islam .. he gets success both in this world and in hereafter ..... talking abt least developed countries ...the muslims of today are lazy bones .. doing nthg .. just waiting for foreign help and aid ... and Koran says " God help those who help themsleves".....
they can be the most powerful countires if only they be honest and hard working .... and truth loving ........

God answers all sincere prayer. Sometimes the answer is NO! A sincere prayer to a God of our own understanding need not include violence, crime, or any other ignoble trait of man against man to be heard.

OK...let's start with the fact that you are Muslim, if oyu are Muslim the all and mighty God will not answer your prayers because you bow down and worship the not all and not mighty allah. Our Gos is a jealous God, and he won't answer the sinners prayer he will listen but not answer.
