Nylabones. Great product. I agree-please stay away from anything like pigs ears and raw hide. Even though they love it they can get choked or they tend to swallow whole pieces that can get stuck in their digestive tracks. This can lead to serious problems for your dog including emergency surgery or even death. Try the crunchy sticks you can get at any pet or grocery store. They love these as well.

Pigs ears are quite brittle, and pups teeth are rather fragile during the first 6 months. I would wait, give them soft chews, a little crushed ice in a soft cloth, those gums hurt from the teeth pushing through, so from time to time, rub them with your fingers around the gumline. tennis ball, small toys of spongey, and
those food items small size.

i dont give pigs ears, chicken feet, rawhide to my dog b/c there is a greater chance that jagged bits can break off and cause damage to her digestive system. try nylabone, or if you have a really intense chewer, try a galileo bone. i got mine at our local pet supplies plus. these bones are made so that only miniscule shavings come off (about the size of a grain of rice) and these small pieces simply pass through the dog's system.

Those are ok, because they chew up faster. Stay away from Raw Hide bones. And yeah, its better than them chewing on someones shoe or something that you don't want them to chew.

NO.............puppies and full grown dogs should not be given roasted pig ears, cow tongues, rawhides.............the pieces can break off and make the dog choke to death. Stay away from "Greenies" too...

Give doggie Nylabones instead.

I would not give your dog a pig's ear because #1 you don't know if it will sit well with his tummy
#2 try (Greenies) they arn't cheap but they help freshen breath and many other things!
