there is only one god
the bible was written by various christian men in a very large span of time before and after the death of jesus christ
god was not created, he was there and will always be there it is hard for humans to understand that because we were born and will die, god created time and is not bound by it
churches and other places of worship were all built by the hands of human belivers
no one has seen god because in a human's earthly life his perfect image is too much too bear. it written that he once showed a fraction of hiself to a mountain and it crumbled to dust, then he showed that same fraction to moses and he fainted
god is in the seventh layer of heaven. heaven cannot be reached because the universe we live in is under the first layer of heaven
we have not changed since the bible was written and problably not change until the armageddon
all the proof you need of god is in our world, one sign is that there are so many things that could only happen not by chance, but by divine intervention
the ignorant ones choose to close their eyes to god even though all the proof is there or written in a holy book

God is the ultimate being in the universe who created everything.
There are many different religions, because there are many different ways of interpeting God and the unknown. Since I am answering this from a Christian standpoint I will have to say no; there is only one God.
But the one God has three forms (refered to as the trinity) which are the Father (God), the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. Even though they are all three, they are still one. Kind of like an egg... there is the egg shell, the yolk, and the white surrounding of the egg. Even though the egg shell is one part it is still the egg.
The Bible (the Chistian Bible) is written by several different apostles and holy men. The majority of the Bible is comprised of letters written to various churches and songs of worship.
God has always been and will always be. Noone created him.
There have been churches since the begining of time. But common day Christian churches were started after the death of Christ by the apostles who organized churches where people could come and learn about Jesus and his message.
God is in all things (in the form of the Holy Spirit). Here on Earth you cannot see him, it is like air, you cannot see it but you know it is there.
Although many of the things in the Bible are based on things from the past, everything also has universal themes and ideas. Humans, although continually devloping, have generally stayed the same.
God does exist, and while there is a lot of proof, Christians have to base their beliefs on faith.
All humans don't believe in God for the same reason that all humans don't have the same political belief. Everyone has to have their own reasoning, their own set of values, and their own beliefs.
A very basic quick look at Christianity is:
"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth"
-Genisis 1:1
God created everything in seven days. He created all animals, all galaxies, all humans... everything.
"Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus because he will save his people from their sins"
-Matthew 1:20-21
Jesus Christ, the son of God, lowered himself and was born as a human being through a virgin named Mary.
"But with loud shouts they insistently demanded that he be crucified"
-Luke 23:23
Jesus died a brutal death, nailed to a cross to account for our sins.
"This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations"
-Luke 24:46
The most important thing to remember is that Jesus fulfilled prophesy by not only dying, but rising again three days later.
Jesus died for you and me. Jesus loves everyone. All you have to do to have an eternal life is accept him as your saviour. If you believe in him and have faith in him... that is it. You get the gift of eternal life and you get a friend for life. Someone who will never abandon you, and love you despite all your flaws. Someone who died for you.
God Bless
