Is there some evidence of this? (besides the Bible, I think we all know that was written by men, not your God) Is this the fallicy of faith? ...not being able to be open to other possibilities?

Here you are a self proclaimed monkey and asking questions that are way above your level. It is not that I don't like your screen name, but you are kind of labeling yourself and your level of intelligence. Remember i did not name you, you did.
If we answer you, then we will have to explain the answer and then explain the explaination. Be calm and evolve a little more and we can then have a meaningful conversation. The Bible has been around many years and has proven itself so many times over that if I cut and pasted all the info you would never even read it. I would use small words to help. We are open to all of God's possibilities and He is a wonderful God..
The fallacy of faith is to believe in billions of years.. That takes some real faith..

I'm sick of people wasting time on faith. There are so many different faiths and they cant all be right. All this could just be a story that's got way out of hand. After all it wasn't the first religion.
I feel that Christianity is something for people to fall back on when times get hard. I believe there is a God but I think that people should just make the most of life and live each day to the full without thinking about whats going to happen when they die.

Lets look at the simple answer to your question and perhaps it will help you and others in the same mind set as you.

Along time ago, God looked down and saw that no matter who He sent to help us we as a people decided to just kill them.

With love in His heart, He decided to send His only begotten Son to pay the price for the salvation of everyone.

His Son, Jesus Christ knew that even though He would give His life for us, that certain people still would not accept Him as the price for their salvation.

BUT, for those that throughout the years, through faith believed, they and they alone would become co-heirs with Him in Heaven, AND allowed to sit next to the Lord on the Throne with the Father.

You may not have realized it, but you had the answers all along in your very hands. Yes, its the Word of God Himself, the Bible. Go there now and ask for knowledge then wisdom will fill the voids now present.

Good success with your search.

Why question Faith? Everyone believes that their religion is real. Jews believe part of what we believe as do Romans. Religions like that are a root of christianity. Basically if you think about it there have been proofs of people back in Jesus' day that they were really real. And as for the Bible you have faith that it is real and most true Christians don't question it. But I guess thats all of my answers for now. Peace Out.

A very simple answer to your question. In the book of John, chapter 14, verse 6, Jesus makes the claim "I am the way, the truth and the life, no man comes to the Father but by me". By the way, before I began studying the bible....I thought it very arrogant the pastor said that Jesus was the only way to God. Ten years of bible study later, now I understand why he did.

We each have to decide whether or not to believe Jesus, or to believe the bible as God's true word. No one can make that decision for you. But to answer your question, that is why Christians believe that the only "truth", that is, the only way to God, is by His son.

I am assuming you are of a belief other than Christian and you hold fast to your culture. Why, if you truly believed in something, would you dabble in something else? If I was a true Muslim, why would I want to open my mind to Christianity? If I was a good Muslim I wouldn't. That is what holding onto your faith is all about. Please don't pick on the Christians here, this is about your problem with organized religion period.

if there is evidence that those who wrote the Bible wrote it with divine inspiration, then there is evidence that their faith has a possibility of being true

its only a fallacy if the Bible without a reaonable doubt is uninspired

however many christians do have a blind faith, few go the extra mile to truly discover the complexity of it

Well your right it was written by men but men inspired by god as I can only belive by faith as you can only belive by your own faith except it is easier to run away and not except the truth than to except the truth but, this is not the reason why christians think wat you say. They think that because Jesus was the creator of christianity itself but religions are divisions and christians do not have a religion only a relationship with god. NOT like Catholics where their religion is made up of many religions and lies. It is Greek, Egyptian, and Christian mostly but no one really Knows this and confession was made up by a King To know what his people was doing so This is why but ultimatly it is up to you to step up or be a coward

Name one religion that isn't. To the best of my knowledge, every religion believes they are right and everyone else is wrong. Religions are not inclusive but exclusive. There is no such belief in all religions have a common destination but taking different routes to it. Sometime ago, during an interview, an actor was asked about his religious beliefs. He answered, "Well, Christians tell me if I don't believe in Jesus I will go to hell. The Jews tell me if I do believe in Jesus I will go to Hell. And the Muslims tell me if I believe in either one I will go to hell. So, I am pretty much screwed."

From a holy book, the Kasidah, Part IV:

All faith is true, all faith is false: Truth is the shattered mirror strewn in myriad bits, while each believes his bit the truth to own.
